The path to the right dimensions: planning the PV system

The installation of a photovoltaic system on the house roof needs to be carefully prepared and planned: In addition to the orientation and load-bearing capacity of the roof, other factors such as possible obstacles in the area must be taken into account. Once it has been clarified whether and in which area of the house roof a PV system can be installed, it is also important to find out which type of solar module is suitable, how many modules can be mounted on the roof and how the system can be wired.

Only when these aspects have been clarified should you start measuring and ordering the required mounting rails.

After installing the PV profiles: The electrical installation

If the PV profiles are attached to the roof and the respective clamps are locked (usually via a groove opening), the solar modules can be attached to the profiles.

The final step is the electrical installation of the system. For this purpose, direct current cables are laid, via which the solar modules are connected to an inverter, in which the electricity generated in the modules is converted into alternating current. This means that the electricity generated on the roof can be fed into the household power grid and consumed.
