Customer project: Winning the state championship title with an aluminum blowpipe

A custom-designed aluminum blowpipe and a perfect competition result: Our customer Kathrin achieved 600 out of 600 points at the state blowpipe shooting championship in Osterode am Harz. With this performance, she became state champion and, by her own account, set a new state record. The special thing about it: Her blowpipe is made from an aluminum tube from Alu-Verkauf, which she customized herself and covered with colorful plush.

A special aluminum blowpipe

Aluminum tubes can be used for many different projects. Our customer Kathrin shows a rather unusual application: She took an aluminum tube from our range and modified and designed it herself for the sport of blowpipe shooting.

Particularly eye-catching is the colorful plush cover that Kathrin added to her blowpipe. This created her personal "plush blowpipe," which also stands out visually from classic blowpipes.

Kathrin competed in the state championship in Osterode am Harz with this self-designed sports equipment.

600 out of 600 points at the state championship

Kathrin competed in the women's II class in the blowpipe competition and achieved the full score: 600 out of a possible 600 points.

With this, she secured first place and the state championship title. According to her own statement, she simultaneously set a new state record with this result.

Which aluminum was used?

For her custom-designed blowpipe, Kathrin used an aluminum round tube from our range. The tube was independently processed by her and subsequently covered with a colorful plush sleeve.

We do not have the exact dimensions or the alloy of the tube used.

Note: This customer project serves as inspiration and is not a construction manual for a blowpipe. For sports equipment, applicable technical requirements and competition rules must be observed.

Kathrin's project shows that aluminum tubes are not only used for classic constructions in crafts or DIY areas.

Aluminum is characterized, among other things, by its low weight, good machinability, and corrosion resistance. This makes the material suitable for numerous different applications.

Which tube dimensions and material properties are suitable always depends on the respective intended use.
