The aluminum round profile: versatile and easy to process!

Due to their practical shape and high stability, aluminum round profiles can be used in a variety of ways in private and industrial areas. The aluminum round rods are often used, among other things, for the construction of banisters in stairwells and in the construction of similar security options. Even cross braces and support points can easily be made from the round material.

A big advantage of our aluminum round profiles is that they do not only have to be used in a straight version , but can also be used for curved constructions. Since aluminum is a very light and flexible metal, the round profile can easily be shaped by hobbyists and DIY enthusiasts with a little craftsmanship.

Thanks to the weatherproof surface, our round material is protected from corrosion and can therefore be installed both indoors and outdoors. If the aluminum profiles are to be placed in a visible place, the silver anodized version ensures an elegant and high-quality look.

There are also a variety of possible applications for the aluminum round profile in industry. It is often used in trade fair construction for the production of stages, spotlight holders, poster hangers or partition walls. The low weight of the aluminum round rods makes the construction and dismantling of the structures particularly easy.

Custom-made round aluminum profiles

In our online shop you can get aluminum round profiles with a length of up to 6 meters (depending on the alloy) and you also have the option of ordering custom-made round profiles using our online configurator. To do this, simply select the desired dimension (diameter) and the appropriate alloy in the configurator and then enter the required length in millimeters. We will then cut the profile individually for you.

As standard, you can choose between round profiles with the following diameters in our shop:

Special sizes are possible: If you haven't found the right size in our standard repertoire, we will be happy to supply you with round material (aluminium) cut to size. In principle, deliveries are possible from a length of 20 mm and - depending on the alloy - up to 3,000 or 6,000 mm.

Our rods are extruded and partly manufactured in a drawn version. The surface is usually bright-finished; versions with the AlMgSi and AlSiMgMn alloys can also be silver anodized.

The alloys of our aluminum round profiles

We offer you our aluminum round profiles in various alloys. You have the following options to choose from:

• AlMgSi0.5 or AlMgSi,
• AlMgSi1 or AlSiMgMn,
• AlCuMgPb or AlCu4PgMgMn as well
• AlZnMgCu1.5 or AlZn5.5MgCu.

Since each of these alloys has certain properties , they are particularly suitable for certain areas of application. Solid aluminum material alloyed with AlMgSi

The name AlMgSi stands for aluminum-magnesium-silicon. This is a special alloy that consists largely of aluminum, while magnesium and silicon only make up 2% of the mass.

This aluminum alloy can be hardened, meaning it becomes even stronger and harder through heat treatment. The maximum tensile strength is 260 N/mm². Accordingly, the alloy impresses with its high stability and fracture toughness and also has high corrosion resistance and good formability.

The alloy is ideal for welding and is particularly popular for car bodies, bumpers and large profiles as well as in rail vehicle construction.

Aluminum round material alloyed with AlSiMgMn

The alloy of aluminum, magnesium and manganese also consists largely of aluminum, while magnesium and manganese only make up 0.5% of the material.

Aluminum profiles with this alloy can be annealed at 400 degrees, giving them a particularly high tensile strength of up to 315 N/mm². It is suitable, among other things, for use in interior design and mechanical engineering as well as for use in vehicle and electrical engineering and for the production of fences and railings.

You can also get the aluminum profiles made of AlSiMgMn in silver anodized upon request.

Aluminum round material alloyed with AlCu4PgMgMn

The alloy made of copper, magnesium and manganese can be used universally. The high strength of AlCu4PgMgMn is particularly advantageous, which leads to a tensile strength of around 470 N/sqmm.

The material also achieves good drilling and turning quality, which is characterized by optimal clamping behavior. The aluminum round bars with this alloy can therefore be particularly easily processed on the lathe. Since the chips are short-breaking, no built-up edge is created during processing and the surface remains absolutely clean during processing.

However, since AlCu4PgMgMn is very difficult to anodize, we unfortunately cannot offer you this variant in silver anodized.

Aluminum round material alloyed with AlZn5.5MgCu

The alloy made of aluminum, zinc, magnesium and copper is also known as DURAL and achieves a very high tensile strength of at least 550 N/mm².

It is used, among other things, in aerospace and is suitable for structures that need to be particularly stable. Unfortunately, the material is neither suitable for welding nor anodizing and is therefore not available in silver anodized.
