Why is aluminum lawn edging the right choice for your garden?
Aluminum is a lightweight and elegant material that is corrosion-resistant due to its thin oxide layer. It is less susceptible to corrosion and can be easily bordered without losing stability. Aluminum lawn edging sheets are particularly suitable for less frequented locations and can be cleanly installed with a lawn edger. For tree borders, tree rings can be laid, which are simply joined together and can be filled with lawn edging stones or soil. The design possibilities are diverse.

- 100 x 3mm up to 6000mm
- 100 x 4mm up to 6000mm

Advantages for lawn edging, bed edging or bed border made of aluminum:
With metal lawn edging, also known as a mowing edge, you can neatly separate beds and lawns. This clear demarcation prevents the mixing of different materials or areas in the garden and keeps plants and grass growth in check. Maintenance is made easier and a harmonious overall appearance is created. Thanks to the slender material, the lawn edgings blend discreetly into the natural environment and can be flexibly adapted for curves. Metal lawn edgings are rust- and weather-resistant, which guarantees their longevity. In addition, they are more cost-effective compared to lawn edging stones.
- High flexibility
- Easy handling
- Corrosion resistance
- Good value for money
Application examples for aluminum lawn edging:
- Mowing edge for the lawnmower
- Pond surrounds
- Bed borders around trees
- Demarcation between stones, bark mulch or planting
- Bed border as protection against grass growth, weeds or slugs
If you also want to prepare your garden for smart garden technology, a suitable robot mower garage is also worthwhile. It protects the robot mower from direct weather and can be visually cleanly combined with lawn edgings and clear garden areas.
Construction instructions - Mowing edge for the lawnmower:
1.) Despite years of care, the lawn has spread further and further towards the bed. The lawnmower has no clear edge along which it can drive, as there is no boundary between the lawn and the bed.
2.) To set the lawn edges for the lawnmower, you start by drawing a guideline and digging out the ground along it to create a clear boundary between the lawn and the bed.
3.) The flat bar for the lawn edge, for example 100x3x2000mm, has already been ordered and delivered from our aluminum online shop and can be placed at the desired location.
4.) The metal edge is driven into the ground with a rubber mallet and, if necessary, connected with rivets. To ensure a stable lawn edge, it should be anchored at least 5 cm deep in the ground and protrude about 1 to 2 cm above the surface of the earth.
5.) After the earth around the edge has been tamped down, the height should be checked to ensure that the boundary is stable. The correct installation of the lawn edges is important to create a clean and tidy boundary for your lawn.
You will need the following materials and tools:
- Flat bars 100x3x up to 6000mm
- Stainless steel rivets V4A Din 7337 or similar
- Spade
- String line
- Rubber mallet, possibly with a striking block
Metal lawn edgings are an effective, durable, and aesthetic solution to design your garden. They provide clear demarcations between different areas and contribute to the beauty of your outdoor space. With proper planning and installation, they will become a permanent and low-maintenance feature of your garden.
