Weight classes for aluminum system profiles
Our aluminum system profiles are available in different weight classes depending on the version. This allows you to select the right profile specifically according to stability, weight, and intended use.
| Weight class |
Property |
Suitable for |
| Normal |
heaviest and particularly robust design |
stable constructions with higher loads |
| Light |
reduced weight with good stability |
frames, racks and constructions with medium loads |
| Eco |
lightest design with material-saving profile construction |
light constructions, cladding and cost-conscious projects |
Normal is the heaviest variant and offers the highest material reserve. Light is a good choice if weight needs to be saved without sacrificing a stable profile base. Eco is the lightest version and is particularly suitable for applications where low weight and an economical solution are a priority.
Which weight class is best depends on the load, span, connection technology, and intended use. For load-bearing or heavily stressed constructions, the profile choice should always be checked to match the planned application.
